What can I change on Amazon advertising console?

 

You can modify a few things but you should not modify much

 

You can modify

 

  1. Campaign bidding strategy: In the campaign settings, it is “Dynamic bids – down only” by default but you can change it
  2. Budget: You can change it at the level of your account setting without consequences. Beware the algorithm does not take the account-level budget you set in its predictions!
  3. Your own campaign: We recommend you pause them

 

You can modify but the algorithm will overwrite your changes

 

  1. Budget: You can change it at the level of the campaign or portfolio without consequences but the algorithm will overwrite it later on.

 

You should NOT modify!

 

  1. The bids: If you do, the algorithm will learn about corrupted data and its optimization will be compromised.
  2. Keywords and product targeting: If you do, the algorithm will learn about corrupted data and its optimization will be compromised.
  3. Negative targeting: If you do, the algorithm will not optimise the sales well anymore and it might miss good targets
  4. The campaigns name: if you do, the algorithm will not recognise its own campaigns any more
  5. Change a campaign from one portfolio to another: if you do, the algorithm will not recognise its own campaigns anymore
  6. Change a portfolio: if you do, the algorithm will not recognise its own campaigns any more
