Improve your ranking on top keywords
You are trying to rank on the first page of Amazon’s search results. The algorithm helps achieve this goal.
To begin with, you would need to focus mainly on a set of keywords on which you want to achieve a better ranking. These keywords can be identified through market research. They are usually limited in number. We are usually talking about a list of 5 to 10 exact keywords.
The algorithm allows you to focus your ad spend exclusively on these keywords and to optimize your investment at a given ACOS goal. Since you are trying to improve your ranking, you’ll need to set an ambitious ACOS goal. Otherwise, there is a risk that the bids computed by the AI will be conservative and you will experience difficulties competing with other Sellers.
The setup is the following
- Create a Strategy with the product(s) on which you want to improve the ranking
- Add a Tactic with the list of keywords you want to target to your strategy. We recommend limiting this list to 5 to 10 keywords targeted in exact
- Once you have completed the setup of the tactic, the last step is to make sure you focus your spending only on these keywords. To do this, go onto “Advanced Settings” and click on the box “Disable Automated Keyword Management”
